Welcome to Ace's Adventures! On my channel you will see the remains of retail, dead malls, and information about the struggling
retail section of our economy, It is utterly important, the work that I am doing to document these places as they fall by the wayside to create a video library for future generations!

In US malls are closing, meanwhile in The philippines every year there is a new mall being opened, and some are being renovated.
This place is definitely a vibe. It really hasn't changed much since I was a kid. A bit of a synthwave era time capsule. You were spot on in describing it as a cultural center, it has some really cool events held there. There was even a "Power Ranger con" a few years back with some of the rangers on site for pics and autographs. Definitely worth a visit if you like to see what malls looked like back in the day.
When I use to frequent Jacksonville every year in the 90s & 2000s, this was the go to mall! Especially during 2005 Super Bowl! One day this mall will meet it's fate like the Jax Landing!😮
Collin Creek Mall was awesome back in the day. I grew up going to this mall in the late 90's and early 2000's. RIP Collin Creek.
I was born in corpus Christi but lived in Taft all my life.. This was one of the biggest places to go if we were lucky enough to head that way. My uncle Carlos May his soul rest in peace actually took me here for my 12th birthday... I ended up eating a lot of dots ice cream cotton candy flavor and Even got my very first dancing Barbie pop doll. It was one of the most magical days of my life. Rip tio Carlos thanks for the good times tio~🪷
LOL...Generally speaking, the people in Reidsville are really nice and polite. Surprisingly, a lot of Reidsville businesses look completely dead outside but are actually full of people when you go in. It's anticipated that the current conversion of Route 29 to Interstate 785 is going to bring in a lot more industry. In the past, a lot of major companies have decided NOT to break ground on new facilities because Reidville was not located on an Interstate. I'm pretty sure my neighbor just purchased one of the adjoining buildings and turned it into a climate-controlled storage facility.
Online shopping has ruined shopping malls.
RIP Big Chow Grill. That was the best restaurant in the specialty shops. Would always eat there Sunday of AWA.
Wow. It looks so well preserved on camera. I worked at a restaurant in the mall from approximately 84 - 86. It was definitely a very vibrant place back then.
I know that Locheed Martin hosts a convention here related to the C-130 Hercules.
Where are the people, who's stocking/ running these shops you can see that look open for business. Very strange and creepy. It makes me feel like s**t that I ever bought anything from Amazon.
got my covid vaccine here at the height of the pandemic...waited on the line like a schlep
Im too young so i never experienced this, but It’s crazy to see how lively the mall and city was
I lived in Smyrna for a few years and while never super busy, there was some due to the restaurants.
I was just there a few weeks ago for Blade Show Atlanta. It's held there at the Cobb Galleria Centre every year at the beginning of June. The place is absolutely buzzing when the conventions are going on.
💔😥
Looks like a great place for a casino if Georgia ever legalized gambling.
This mall had a kickass dine-in movie theater back when that was a lot less common. Screened a lot of indie and foreign films. Sadly I don't think it's operating anymore unless something changed in the last few years.
In July they host the Southern Fried Gaming Expo which has a ton of old arcade and pinball machines which are on free play with admission.
I remember this mall from when I was younger
That place has been dead for so long that I didn't even know it was a mall. I've been in Atlanta for 20 years.
Turn it into a data center lol. Reidsville is ran by the Dixie mafia and the people are sad.
Now that BIG CHOW is gone, there’s no reason to go there anymore.😢😢😢
THis mall is no where near the "outskirts" of San Antionio, it is within loop 410, which puts it firmly in central san antonio
Just wait until “Mall of America”, The LARGEST/BIGGEST Mall in America, becomes a Dead and Abandoned Mall. Also, Anthony of @Ace’s Adventures it’s called MONEY LAUNDERING. In my opinion, people who own or purchase Dead Businesses, Malls, Shopping Strip Malls, etc. as well as Churches…does it to Launder Money. It’s ABSOLUTELY INSANE how easy Money Laundering can be for people if they know the loopholes of the illegal practice.

Oh my god!!! I used to live aroun this area and I went to this mall more than a year ago with my family just to kinda walk around and see what was going on. It was still pretty empty (if not emptier!) and eerie when we did this even back then! I always hoped someone would do a dead mall run of this place. Thank you so much for looking through this mall. I've been waiting for this!!!
Damn I forgot all about this place.
I used to work in the bon ton 2013ish? it was a fun and weird experience.
An ASMR UA-camr recently invested in the Pennrose Mall.
i love watching dead mall vids, so im so happy this popped up considering i live so close. subscribed!
Thats not "San Antonio"music you played at the intro. Should have done Tejano.
WOW!!! I've lived here my whole life. I'm 57. It's just gone down hill BAD!!!!! To see the mall like that. I wish it was still like that. Now it's really dead. The bottom portion basically belongs to the University hospital. A bunch of clinics and therapy. Pediatric care. Elderly people walking around. It looks nothing like this video anymore. It's not Wonderland of The Americas. It used to be a GREAT mall. Not anymore. It's sad to say that it's just a Wonder😮?????
I grew up going to the movies here. Also spent a ton of time at the arcade. So fun back then in the 90s
The hours I used to spend in Cato was ridiculous. This pains me greatly.
Its actually quite sad. Many Gen Xers frequented this mall back in the day. Pitiful
It is because the office of a democrat representative of san Antonio Is there, that's why....
We went to Wonderland weekly in the 1960’s. There was a large slot car raceway downstairs where kids would gather to race each other. I actually worked at the Orange Julius in the late 60’s and early 70’s that was upstairs. Most of the people that worked in the mall knew each other and that made it a lot of fun. Sommer’s drug store was near the front entrance and they had a small eating area in the back. There was a lady named Mary who ran it and she made the best enchiladas I ever ate.
Insane rent price, amazon, wish, temu, quarantine, social anxiety. No variety. Everything is so damn expensive. Some reasons why malls are disappearing.
Blade Show is in early June every year. Largest Knife show in the US / World.
